Digital Government Expo 2024 – Our Experiences

Bluewave Technology at the Digital Government Expo: A Recap of Our Experience

On the 24th and 25th of September, we had the pleasure of exhibiting at the Digital Government Expo 2024, held at the Excel Centre in London. The event brought together more than 2,000 delegates, providing a platform for government and tech leaders to explore innovative public sector solutions. The two-day conference was filled with insightful talks, networking opportunities, and cutting-edge technology, showcasing how digital transformation is reshaping the public sector.

A Dynamic Event for Public Sector Innovation

The DigiGov Expo is designed to shine a light on how technology can revolutionise public services – making them more efficient, accessible, and sustainable. This year’s event featured a range of keynote speakers, panel discussions, and workshops, all designed to address the most pressing challenges faced by the public sector today. From thought leaders in digital transformation to government officials and technology innovators, the speaker lineup was impressive, including speakers from 10 Dowling Street, the House of Lords, the NHS, HM Treasury, the Central Digital and Data Office, and the Ministry of Justice. Speakers like Peter Kyle – Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology and Jennifer Marks – Head of Digital Sustainability at the Government Digital Service were particular highlights, covering everything from data-driven decision-making to sustainability goals. The event’s speakers offered some really valuable insights into the future of public services, including a special focus on AI, automation, and citizen engagement. The Digital Government Expo underscored how vital technology is to improving public sector outcomes in an increasingly digital world.

Here are some snapshots from the event:

Engaging Conversations at Stand C28

Bluewave Technology was proud to be among a variety of forward-thinking exhibitors – from Adobe to the Crown Commercial Service. We showcased our innovative public sector solutions at Stand C28, engaging in numerous meaningful conversations with delegates from various public sector organisations over the course of the two day event. We were delighted to discuss how our technology could help organisations deliver better services to citizens and internal teams. Delegates stopped by to speak with Bluewave representatives Finian Quinn – Business Development Director and Sustainability Lead and Paul Mooney – Sales Director and Public Sector Lead, as well as Iraia Oianguren – Regional Government Lead at Salesforce – to learn about how Bluewave partners with Salesforce to provide custom-built solutions to the UKI public sector. Our technology is designed to save time, streamline processes, and fulfil the unique business needs of public sector organisations – from local councils, to NHS bodies. The feedback we received from the delegates was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing interest in how our solutions could help them tackle the challenges they face.

We discussed the power of Experience Cloud in creating intuitive citizen dashboards, enabling public sector organisations to offer a seamless experience to their users. These dashboards provide citizens with easy access to information and services, empowering them to engage with government services more effectively. Delegates were particularly interested in how Experience Cloud can be customised to meet the specific needs of their organisations, enhancing both transparency and user satisfaction. We also shared insights into how Marketing Cloud can transform citizen journeys and communication strategies. By automating personalised communication, public sector organisations can ensure that citizens receive timely, relevant information throughout their interactions with government services. From email campaigns to mobile messaging, Marketing Cloud enables organisations to better manage outreach and improve citizen engagement. Many of our conversations also touched on Net Zero Cloud, a vital tool for public sector organisations aiming to monitor and reduce their carbon footprint. Net Zero Cloud helps track carbon emissions and other sustainability metrics, making it easier for councils and organisationsto meet their environmental goals. As sustainability continues to be a top priority for the public sector, we were excited to demonstrate how this solution could play a pivotal role in helping organisations and communities achieve their net-zero targets.

The Role of AI in the Public Sector

One of the key themes at this year’s Digital Government Expo was the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming public services. AI offers enormous potential for the public sector, from automating routine tasks to analysing vast amounts of data to improve decision-making. As public sector organisations face growing pressure to deliver more efficient, responsive services, AI is set to play an increasingly critical role. At Bluewave, we’re committed to helping our public sector clients harness the power of AI to improve service delivery. From predictive analytics that help organisations forecast demand and allocate resources more effectively, to automated workflows that reduce manual effort – AI can unlock new levels of efficiency and service quality in the public sector. As we continue to explore the possibilities of AI, we are excited to see how these technologies will shape the future of government services.
