Last week, Bluewave’s experts headed to the Excel Centre in London to attend Salesforce World Tour 2024. Here are some of the key takeaways from our time at the event.
Salesforce World Tour is one of the biggest events in the Salesforce calendar, second only to Dreamforce. As a Platinum Salesforce Partner, Bluewave was keen to get involved for another year running. We sent our senior leadership team, and a number of Bluewave technical experts, into the conference to build connections, learn, and network, so expect to see some snapshots from the day’s events further down in this article. Our involvement in World Tour London didn’t end there, though, as we were also invited to host the official Public Sector Afterparty by Tony Alder – Alliance Director for Public Sector UK at Salesforce – for the third year in a row. The event provided a great opportunity for public sector leadership, Salesforce AEs, and our team to unwind, post-conference.
This year’s event featured highly acclaimed speakers such as Kent Packman – Salesforce Architect at Aston Martin, who delivered a fascinating keynote about how the luxury car brand uses Salesforce technology to facilitate its journey towards becoming an AI Enterprise. World Tour London 2024 also included talks from Andy Garrett – CIO at Lookers, Barry Panayi – Chief Data and Insight Officer at John Lewis, Ben Pyne – Salesforce Platform Manager at DPD, Louise McEwen – CMO at Mclaren, and many more.
If you weren’t able to attend World Tour this year, you can still catch all the excitement and inspiration via Salesforce+.
Key Takeaways
At last year’s World Tour, Salesforce highlighted the importance of embracing AI and launched its AI Cloud tool, promising to revolutionise how business is done across the public and private sector. At Dreamforce 2023, Salesforce doubled down on its AI efforts, showcasing additional AI solutions across all of its existing cloud products. Today, there are over 50 Salesforce Einstein AI products and tools. These technologies are changing the game for businesses, and Salesforce (due to its early adoption and investment) is uniquely positioned to help organisations on their journey to get the most of AI.
“AI is the topic of the moment and it was covered extensively at World Tour. Insights into the new tools to enable customers to leverage this powerful capability, from Prompt Builder to Einstein Copilot, were exciting. We at Bluewave can’t wait to join our customers on this journey to an AI future” – Craig Coates, Senior Salesforce Consultant at Bluewave
Speakers at World Tour London covered many different aspects of Salesforce’s current mantra: CRM + AI + Data + Trust. Although AI is a huge source of innovation at the moment, and the Einstein 1 Platform is a crucial part of the conversation, the power of data also cannot be ignored. We are currently living in a data-driven world, where organisations need to leverage the latest AI capabilities in order to stay competitive and delivery personalised customer experiences. Many guest talks and demonstrations at World Tour covered this, and highlighted how Salesforce Data Cloud can help businesses maximise the potential of AI within the Salesforce ecosystem. Salesforce’s experts also discussed how they’ve been working to provide secure AI architecture, thanks to the Einstein Trust Layer – a robust set of features and guardrails that protect the privacy and security of user data. Speakers explained how the Einstein Trust Layer is designed to improve the safety and accuracy of AI results and also promote the responsible use of AI across the Salesforce ecosystem.
New developments within Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Tableau, and Slack were also discussed. Attendees from numerous industries were also catered to, with talks that catered to higher education, non-profit organisations, finance companies, sales teams, and more. Improving customer experience, empowering young people, working sustainably, and celebrating inclusivity were also hot topics at World Tour this year.
