On the 24th November, Bluewave Technology is hosting a networking event aimed to bring together our experts, our partners at Salesforce, and leadership within the Scottish Public Sector. Find out more about this upcoming event below.

Over the past two and a half years, public services around the world were forced to rapidly adapt and deliver digital first solutions at an unprecedented pace, reacting to the changing needs of citizens and businesses brought forward by Covid19. Leveraging solutions like Salesforce, they responded quickly and, even as lockdowns eased, have continued to deliver solutions at pace with new technologies focussed on business process and user experience.

Bluewave Technology has been involved in the Scottish ecosystem for over 20 years, delivering solutions in local government, ALBs, departments and political parties. From our time listening to feedback from our customers in this space, we see that there is a desire to leverage knowledge and experiences from colleagues and other departments. To assist with this, we are forming the first public sector user group session at the COSLA Conference Centre on the 24th November.

This full day session will contain presentations from Bluewave, Salesforce, as well as Public Sector peers and colleagues, with a goal to facilitate and improve cross departmental collaboration.

The Scottish National Investment Bank

The Scottish National Investment Bank is Scotland’s first development investment bank, wholly owned by the Scottish Ministers on behalf of the people of Scotland. The Bank is an impact investor, focussed on delivering both commercial returns and mission impacts with its investments. Its goal is to invest in businesses and projects connected to Scotland, delivering long term, patient debt, or equity investment where the private market is failing to provide the support businesses and projects require to grow. The Bank’s key missions include: supporting Scotland’s transition to Net Zero, building communities and promoting equality, as well as harnessing innovation to enable people to flourish.

Lianne McGrory

Salesforce

Salesforce is the world’s #1 customer relationship management platform, designed to help marketing, sales, commerce, service and IT teams work as one from anywhere. Salesforce has built its company on pillars of Trust, Growth, Innovation, Equality and Sustainability, bringing customers and companies together, and helping businesses become a force for positive change.

DTSI

The Digital Transformation Service (Improvement) helps Scottish public sector organisations to improve user experience, increase efficiencies, and access the information and support they need to improve their internal and citizen-facing systems. The organisation works collaboratively with Scottish public sector bodies to help develop an understanding around business goals, project timescales, budget, risks and opportunities. DTSI supports organisations by providing signposting, advice, and guidance, as well as experts on hand to support each organisation’s existing teams.

The event will also feature an intro from our CEO: Harry Dunne, as well as an overview of our sustainability strategy (and how Public Sector organisations can reach Net Zero, faster) from our Net Zero Practice Lead: Finian Quinn.

You’re Invited

We’d like to extend our invitation to IT Leaders within the Public Sector to build connections and strengthen existing relationships between our team of experts, our trusted partners at Salesforce, and your peers within the Scottish Public Sector. On the 24th November, we’ll be serving up a delicious and varied brunch, alongside interesting talks, demonstrations, and customer success stories, all in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, at the COSLA Conference Centre.

COSLA is the voice of Local Government in Scotland. It was officially established in 1975, but the organisation’s principles originate over 800 years ago – evolving from the Convention of Royal Burghs. This was once the oldest representative body in Europe and has been standing up for Scotland’s local priorities since it’s inception. Steeped in history and tradition, COSLA is now situated in the heart of Edinburgh, right beside Haymarket railway station. The COSLA Conference Centre is a modern, spacious venue with a wealth of flexible rooms and the latest audio-visual technology, and is a popular venue for Public Sector conferences and meetings.

When looking for a venue to host our networking event in, the obvious choice for our day of presentations and evening drinks reception was COSLA, and we look forward to you joining us there.

As Bluewave continues to deliver successful solutions across the Scottish public sector, we see overlap in customer requirements and deliveries and envisage advantages in promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across Salesforce users. We are all mindful of the recent years during the pandemic where innovative solutions were built to solve complex problems, while never physically meeting. We hope that starting a series of ongoing public sector events will lead to a broader understanding of what has been completed over the years by various departments, and nurture ideas, discussion and efficiencies by sharing knowledge.” – Paul Mooney, Bluewave Technology
